Nicola Reed Jewellery
Contemporary Scottish jewellery, handmade in Stonehaven
Year Founded: 2011
After graduating in 2010, Nicola went on to establish Nicola Reed Jewellery, creating sterling silver jewellery for galleries and exhibitions. Originally from Inverness, Nicola now works from her home studio in Stonehaven and is currently creating pieces for the Turoe collection, which takes inspiration from the red deer found on the Isle of Rum.
Hand cut slivers of antler are cast in precious metals before being transformed, using traditional metalwork techniques, into wearable pieces. The Highlands also naturally influence this collection, and the gemstones featured are types that have once been found in Scotland. Nicola also undertakes commissions so please get in touch to discuss your ideas. Repairs and alterations are also welcomed.
