Slackstitches - Knockie Bears are handmade by myself, Margaret Hamilton, using tartans and tweeds made in Scotland. Custom bears can be made in your own tartan if you contact me. I also enjoy all needlecrafts and you will find a variety of products in my stores, many of which are one off makes which means you get a unique item. I am very happy to discuss the making of any of my products in a different colour, size, pattern. Please feel free to contact me with your ideas.

Caledonian Bears - The Caledonian Bears are a unique collection of handmade Scottish tweed teddy bears. The bears and their clothing are designed and created in our workshop at Neptune's Staircase on the tow-path of the Caledonian Canal under the shadow of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. The bear's design are inspired by images from past rural Scottish life and of course include the tweeds and clan tartans that have been used in the kingdom for centuries.
