What is Shop Scotland?
Shop Scotland is an award winning website featuring a huge selection of creative businesses based around the country. We act primarily as a promotional platform through which designers, creatives and artists can be discovered. We also run a range of member features, have membership benefits and offer fantastic social media exposure.
How do I buy the products I see on Shop Scotland?
Products are bought directly from our members. We don’t sell any products directly. All our creative members have a profile page, just follow the links to their page, and you can then buy or order products directly from members websites.
I’m not Scottish. Can I still join?
Yes. You don’t have to born here, eat haggis or wear a kilt to join Shop Scotland. If your business is located anywhere in Scotland including its many islands you are welcome to apply, whatever your nationality.
Will I be accepted to join?
Each application is looked at individually to ensure a high level of quality is retained on the site. We can’t say for definite you’ll be accepted until we can see your products and learn more about you. If your application is unsuccessful any monies paid will be refunded to you in full.
My business is brand new. Can I still apply?
Yes. Shop Scotland has a mix of new start-ups and part time workers through to very well established businesses. If you have creative talent we don’t mind what age your business is.
I haven’t got a website. Can I still apply?
Yes. Providing you have a way of showcasing your work online and taking orders. Some of our current members don’t have websites and use Folksy or Etsy as their main business page.
I’m a hairdresser in Portsmouth. Can I still apply?
No. Believe it or not this has happened.
